The Progresstech Design Department has completed working on the project “Domodedovo Airport Terminal Complex. T-3 Stage”. FAI Glavgosexpertiza Rossii (Russia's Main State Expert Appraisal Department) has reviewed the project documentation, confirmed the feasibility and validity of the taken project solutions and appraised the quality of the performed works. And a positive expert opinion was issued on January 26, 2017
The project documentation provides for a large scope of works for the first three stages of construction of a new terminal T-3 at the Domodedovo International Airport (the project consists of six stages). The new terminal is designed as an extension of the operating terminal T-1. Such location will ensure the shortest access to departure and arrival lounges of the new terminal from the Aeroexpress station, existing and future parking lots.
The project implementation shall result in increasing a number of aircraft stands, expanding the airport provided services and enhancing their quality. Upon completion of these three stages, terminal T-3 shall handle 13.6 mln passengers per year.
Progresstech involved in the project was responsible for the key project sections relating to the passenger handling in the terminal and aircraft accommodation and servicing at stands by using the ground support equipment and pit channels (underground passageways for installing the service pits immediately near to aircraft on the apron).
