Progresstech, Ltd. participated in the IV National Aviation Infrastructure Show NAIS-2017 held in Moscow on February 8 – 9.
Progresstech presented its latest achievements enabling to render a full-scale package of services on the entire spectrum of design works for airports. Progresstech has been involved in design for over 25 years, and the show visitors had a chance to learn the company's numerous projects executed during such a long period. A fragment of the last large-scale project – designing of the international airport in Turkmenabat, Turkmenistan was visualized as a demonstration model. The model comprised the air terminal complex area including the passenger terminal, ATC tower, apron and landside. The Progresstech display at the NAIS 2017 has attracted a heightened interest of airport industry professionals, and our specialists had a number of meetings with representatives of various organizations.
The event has included a business program. Our specialists participated in Conference “Innovative Airport: Efficiency Technologies”. Dmitry Lukin, Chief Project Engineer, Progresstech Design Department made the presentation entitled ”Advantages of the BIM (Building Information Modeling) Application in Airports”. He shared the company's positive experience of applying the state-of-the-art design technologies and their benefits and advantages as compared with the traditional ones.
The report “Simulation Modeling of Engineering Processes in Airports” presented by Ekaterina Volkova, Deputy Director of Progresstech Design Department dealt with the application of the research method enabling to develop the model of the passenger terminal operation and its real-time processes. Thanks to the simulation modeling the solutions being taken can be checked prior to their implementation. Included in the presentation were the case studies which have shown the potential of the simulation modeling and capabilities of the analysis carried out with the simulation modeling use, as well as the tasks which have been set and the results which have been got.
